The booming engineering and technical ceramics technology markets of
Southern Asia will at last find their chance to promote themselves to an
international and national audience at India ETC 2010.
This timely addition to the country’s show calendar includes the
manufacture of all types of refractories and insulating ceramics, these are
important products both for the State of Gujarat – with its proliferation of
light and heavy industry as well as infrastructure and energy issues – and
the ceramic and allied scene in general.
Target with Total Confidence
The venue for India-ETC is absolutely ideal. Ahmedabad and the surrounding
area host important elements across the high temperature sector while the
concurrent Indian Ceramics exhibition provides the best visitor cross-over
you can imagine while its exhibitors are also major customers as well.
Good news for the refractories and technical ceramics sector is the go-ahead
being given for a new Foundry Cluster site close to Ahmedabad, with an
investment of Rs 250 million. This is scheduled for Kathawada or Santej and
will be home to around 70 companies in what has been a successful period
for orders. For ceramic producers supplying the sector, volumes are set to
increase and that means more orders for high temperature ceramics such as
nozzles, crucibles and induction, cupola and pot furnace components.
